The problem

Your site runs on plugins.
Plugins need updates.
Updates break things.

  • Thirty plugins deep.

Every feature is another plugin from another company, each one needing updates, and each one another way in for hackers.

  • Updates break things.

One goes in and a page breaks, so updates get put off and the site falls months behind.

  • It’s slow.

All that code loads on every page. Pages crawl on a phone, and visitors give up before they load.

  • Licences on licences.

A page builder, forms, SEO, speed and security, each with its own yearly renewal, just to keep the site standing.

  • Nobody dares touch it.

One wrong click in the dashboard and something breaks, so every change waits for a developer.

The free move

Same site, none of the plugins.

We keep your pages, your content and every address, so nothing is lost. What goes is everything that made the site slow, fragile and costly to run. Elsewhere, a move like this is a project costing thousands of pounds. With Wrev, it’s free when you join.

Faster on every phone.

Pages are built ahead of time, not pieced together by plugins each time someone visits, so they load quickly on any connection and do well in Google’s speed test.

Far less to attack.

Most WordPress security holes are found in plugins, and your site won’t run any. There’s far less for anyone to break into.

Nothing to update.

No plugin updates to keep up with, and no update breaking a page overnight. The site stays as we built it until you ask for a change.

No plugin licences.

No yearly renewals for page builders, form plugins or speed plugins. Whatever your site needs, we build in.

Every change on record.

Each change is saved in a full history, so we can see what changed and when, and put anything back in minutes.

Built for AI.

Your site becomes clean, modern code, which AI works with far better than a stack of plugins. Our developers use AI agents on it, so your requests get done sooner.

Moves for free

  • Brochure and marketing sites
  • Blogs, news and case studies
  • Team, vacancy and location pages
  • Contact and enquiry forms

Shops, booking systems and members’ areas take more work, so we plan those with you and build them through your requests.

What your site runs on

Astro

Your site is built with Astro, the open-source framework for fast websites, and served from the Cloudflare® global network. If your team edits the site themselves, EmDash is your editor. Both are open source, so your site is never locked to us.

What moves with you

Everything that matters comes with you.

We list every page and address before we start, so nothing is lost and Google finds everything where it was.

Comes with you

  • Every page, post and image
  • Every address, or a redirect from the old one
  • Page titles, descriptions and the details Google reads
  • Your forms, rebuilt with spam protection
  • Your analytics and tracking
  • Your domain and your email

Stays behind

  • Plugins, and the updates that come with them
  • Yearly plugin licences
  • The WordPress dashboard and its logins
  • A database and server software to keep patched
  • Page builders that slow every page down

How the move works

From WordPress to live, one step at a time.

  1. Check

We run the free check and go through your site with you: pages, forms, plugins and anything that will take longer to rebuild.

  2. Map

Every page and address goes on a list, with where it will live and a redirect wherever an address changes.

  3. Rebuild

We rebuild the site on a private preview: the same content, faster pages, and a fresh look if you want one.

  4. Approve

You go through the preview and tell us what to change. Nothing goes live until you are happy with it.

  5. Switch over

We point your domain at the new site, test every redirect and keep an eye on your search traffic afterwards.

Questions

Before you move.

Is the move really free?

Yes, when you join. We move your pages, posts, images and forms as part of your membership, with no separate fee. Shops, booking systems and members’ areas take more work, so we plan those with you and build them through your requests.

Will I lose my Google rankings?

No. Every page keeps its address, or the old address redirects to its new home, and your page titles and descriptions come with it. Nothing search engines already know about your site is thrown away.

Can my team still edit the site?

Yes. If your team posts news, blogs or vacancies, you get a simple editor for them. Anything else, you send to us as a request, like everything else on your membership.

Will it look the same?

It can. We rebuild your pages as they are, or give the site a fresh look at the same time if you want one. Either way, you check it on a preview and approve it before it goes live.

What happens to my domain and email?

Your domain stays yours and your email keeps working. We copy your settings across, point the site at its new home, and tell you exactly what will change before anything does.

What if I leave Wrev later?

Your site is built with open-source software, so it is never locked to us. If you leave, we hand it over, and we keep a backup of your original WordPress site too.

How long does the move take?

It depends on the size of the site. Once every page and address is mapped, we agree a date with you, and nothing changes until you have approved the preview.

Where will my site be hosted?

On Cloudflare’s global network, set up and looked after by us as part of your membership, with daily backups and uptime monitoring.

Can I keep WordPress instead?

Yes. If you would rather stay on WordPress, we take your site on as it is and look after it, plugins and all.
