Connect your AI assistant to Wrev

For Claude, ChatGPT and Grok · Updated 27 October 2026

The Wrev connector links your own AI assistant to your Wrev account. Ask it about your site, your visitors and your requests, and have it send work to the Wrev team, all from the chat. It works with Claude, ChatGPT and Grok, and you use your own account with each of them.

What you need

  • A Wrev account: you are an Admin or a Member on a business with a Wrev plan.
  • An account with Claude, ChatGPT or Grok.

Connect Claude

  1. In Claude, go to Customize, then Connectors.
  2. Search for Wrev and add the one by Wrev. If it doesn’t come up, click Add, then Add custom connector, name it Wrev and paste this address: https://app.wrev.io/api/mcp/client
  3. Sign in to Wrev with your email and password, and approve. If you are on more than one Wrev account, choose the one the connector should use.
  4. In a chat, click + at the bottom left, choose Connectors and switch Wrev on.

Once it is connected, it also works in the Claude apps on your phone and computer.

Connect ChatGPT or Grok

Add a custom connector with the same address, https://app.wrev.io/api/mcp/client, then sign in to Wrev and approve. The Connect AI page in the Wrev app takes you through each assistant step by step.

What it can read

  • Your sites, and the plan each one is on.
  • Your requests: what is queued, in progress and complete, with each one's brief and messages.
  • Recent activity on your requests.
  • Development minutes, where a site's plan includes them.
  • Google Analytics, for sites where it is connected: visitors, pages, where visitors came from and more.
  • Google Search Console, for sites where it is connected: the searches your site appears for, its clicks and its average position.
  • Your site's published content, where we have connected it: pages, posts and, on a shop, products and orders. Customers' names and contact details on orders are left out unless you ask for them.
  • Stock photos from Pexels, to help you draft content.

It only reaches the account you chose when you signed in, and only what your role there allows. Prices are shown to an account's Admins, not its Members.

What it can do

  • Raise a request with the Wrev team, as you, in your account's queue. Your assistant can draft what the change needs, such as new wording or a blog post, and put it in the brief.
  • Attach a file to one of your requests from a link, such as a shared Google Drive or Dropbox link. A file you upload into the chat itself can't be passed on, so you get the request's link instead, where you can add it in the Wrev app.

What it can't do

  • Change anything on your site. Every change is a request, and the Wrev team makes it.
  • Edit, complete or delete requests.
  • Change your plan, your billing or your users.
  • See any other Wrev account.
  • See your site's plugins or hosting, which we look after.

Things to ask

  • Which pages on my site got the most visitors last month?
  • What searches does my site show up for in Google?
  • Which pages on my site were last updated more than a year ago?
  • What is in my Wrev queue at the moment?
  • What has Wrev finished for us this month?
  • Raise a request to add our Christmas opening hours to the contact page.

Your data

What your assistant reads is sent to the company that provides it, such as Anthropic for Claude, and handled under that company's own terms and privacy policy. Wrev keeps the requests and files added through the connector, notes on each one that it came from your assistant, and records when each connection was last used. Our privacy policy has the details.

Disconnecting

Remove Wrev in your assistant's connector settings, or disconnect it from the Connect AI page in the Wrev app, which lists your connections. An account's Admins can see and disconnect every connection on it. If someone's Wrev user is deactivated, their connections stop working straight away.
