Deleting your Wrev account

This page explains how to ask us to delete your Wrev account and the data held against it. It applies to the Wrev app on Google Play and iOS, and to the Wrev platform at app.wrev.io. Both are operated by B3M Ltd, trading as Wrev.

How to request deletion

You can delete your account yourself in the Wrev app, from Profile, then Delete Account.

Or email hello@wrev.io from the address your account uses, with the subject “Delete my account”. If you cannot email from that address, tell us which account you mean and we will verify it another way before doing anything.

You can also ask your organisation’s Wrev administrator to remove your user, which has the same effect.

We will confirm within five working days and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What we delete

When we delete your account we remove:

• your name, email address, password and profile photo
• your notification settings and any push notification tokens for your devices
• your personal login history and session data

What happens to your organisation’s work

Wrev accounts belong to individual people, but the requests, messages and files in an account are the working record of the business you work for. Deleting your personal account does not delete your employer’s project history, because that record belongs to them and their colleagues still rely on it. Where your name appears against a request or a message, we anonymise it.

If you want an organisation’s entire account and all of its data removed, that request needs to come from someone authorised to act for that business. Email us and we will confirm who needs to approve it.

What we keep, and for how long

Some records we are required to keep even after an account is deleted:

• invoices and financial records, for six years after the end of the accounting period they relate to, as required by UK company and tax law
• records needed to establish or defend a legal claim, for as long as that claim is live

Everything else is removed from our live systems within 30 days. Encrypted backups are overwritten on a rolling 30-day cycle, so a copy may persist in a backup for up to 30 days after deletion before it is gone entirely.

Deleting the app

Uninstalling the Wrev app from your phone removes it and any notification permissions from that device, but it does not delete your account. Use the process above if you want the account itself removed.
